Overview

We are looking to add an Instructional Systems Designer to our Training department in our Miami Corporate office. The ideal Instructional Systems Designer will be required to have 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering ILT and online learning experiences for adult learners. The Instructional Systems Designer for this position is required to have exceptional communication skills along with advance skills in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

 
 
 
- Design and develop learning experiences, including: Instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, blended learning, and other innovative learning solutions using proven instructional design models and practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to help translate their knowledge into an effective and engaging learning experience for learners.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of own and other’s work to include spelling, grammar, formatting, layout, etc.
- Develop evaluation process and tools, monitor and report on the effectiveness of development programs by establishing relevant evaluation metrics and collection capabilities; demonstrate use of continuous quality improvement in daily work and operations.
- Develop training materials, including user guides, participant guides, facilitator guides, presentations, job aids, quick-reference guides, learning activities, assessments, e-learning story boards, and audio scripts using sound instructional design principles.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of courses and continuously update programs based on feedback in order to continuously improve training & development programs.
- Support and maintain learning and development resources in the learning management system to ensure accurate offerings, catalogs and assignments to comply with training requirements. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
 
- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional System Design, or related fields. Master’s preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience developing learning solutions in a variety of formats, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, micro-learning etc.
 
 
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 
- Knowledge of key learning design concepts such as outcomes-based curriculum development, competency-based programs, and assessment designs.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience applying all steps in the ADDIE model or similar performance improvement methodology.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience using Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, and authoring tools such as Storyline, Captivate, etc.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Effective communication skills.
