    Baystate Dental is currently looking for a Dental Receptionist to work at our office located in Longmeadow, MA 01106. This is a full-time position that will require working Saturdays, and some evenings. Our ideal Dental Receptionist will have a minimum of 1 - 2 years' experience working in a dental office; understanding of various insurance plans; self motivated; energetic; exceptional customer service; dental assistants are encouraged to apply.     Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for daily, weekly, and end of month responsibilities.

     

    Daily responsibilities must be done by certain times each day. Some of the daily responsibilities consist of:

     

    • MassHealth Eligibility
    • Daysheet
    • Checking yesterday's schedule
    • Confirming 2 days out schedule
    • Daily deposit
    • Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
    • Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to policies
    • Answering Telephones
    • Confirming Appointments
    • Follow up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments
    • Register Patients on sign in sheet
    • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
    • Checking voicemail on a daily basis
    • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients

    Some of the weekly responsibilities consist of:

     

    • Scanning
    • Sending new patient packets
    • Light cleaning of the office
    • MassHealth broken appointment log

     

    This position is also responsible for some end of month reporting

     

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills:

     

    • 1-2 years' experience working in a dental office strongly preferred; will consider medical, or other health-care office experience
    • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO), preferred
    • Experience answering telephone
    • Exceptional customer service experience
    • Experience working with Excel
    • Dental Assistants are encouraged to apply
