    We are hiring a Dental Assistant-Lead Oral Surgery Assistant for our Affiliate office;Dental Specialty of Cutler Bay located in Cutler Bay, FL. The ideal Dental Assistant must have EFDA and X-Ray Certification in the state of Florida. We are looking for candidates that has 1-2 years’ experience working in a dental office with surgical experience. This Dental Assistant must be certified with Local Anesthesia as well as CPR certifications in the state of Florida. Experience working with intravenous sedation and handling sedated patients.  We need someone that is experienced with crash carts and emergency medications as well as experience with ordering supplies. We are looking for a Dental Assistant that is a team player with a can do attitude.

    Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of the dentist. Prepare operatory by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes and sterile solutions as required. Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment; adjust and check to ensure proper working order. Prepare patients for surgery and observe patients vital signs and assist dentist during surgery.


    During surgery pass instruments and other sterile supplies to dentist, hold surgical instruments as directed by dentist, and help apply dressings. Operate sterilizer, lights, or suction machines. Clean operatory after surgery.


    • X-ray license for the state in which you work is required
    • 2+ years' experience working as a Surgical Dental Assistant 
    • Completion of accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent work experience. Certification preferred.
    • Local Anesthesia Certification in the state in which you work is required
    • CPR Certification in the state in which you work is required
